If you study design, does it mean you have to become a designer? Every year, 36,000 students graduate with design degrees, yet there are only 300,000 designers in the entire Korean industry. The reality is that not everyone can—or even needs to—become a designer. So what do people with design degrees actually end up doing?
《Hello, Designer》 shares the stories and reflections of various people who studied design. It explores the different paths they take, especially those who work outside the traditional ‘designer’ role, showing ways to make a living without becoming a professional designer. Through these stories, the book reflects on studies, careers, work, and dreams.
The first book in the series, 《Hello, Designer - Stories in Workplace》, gathers stories from people with design backgrounds who work in, have worked in, or left companies. It offers a look into various workplace experiences, whether they stayed, left, or are still navigating life in a company.
