이 책은 1970년 1월 1일부터 1979년 12월 31일까지 출원된 국내 기업의 동물 도형 상표 362개를 복원하여 그 정보와 함께 기록한 내용을 담고 있다. 이는 저자가 2020년에 쓴 박사학위 논문 ‘1970년대에 쓰인 동물 심볼마크의 시각문화적 가치 재해석 연구’에서 논한 1970년대의 동물 심벌마크의 가치를 높일 수 있는 한 가지 방법인 ‘복원’에 대한 연구 결과물이기도 한데, 출판을 위해 당시의 작업 일부를 보완하고 재편집하였다.
This book restores and documents 362 animal symbol trademarks from domestic companies, filed between January 1, 1970, and December 31, 1979, along with their relevant information. It is based on the author’s 2020 doctoral dissertation, A Reinterpretation of the Visual-Cultural Value of Animal Symbol Marks Used in the 1970s, which explores the method of “restoration” as a way to elevate the value of animal symbol marks from the 1970s. The content has been supplemented and re-edited for publication.
