삶것이 펴내는 비정기 간행물, 이번 호는 삶것이 지은 가(벼운)건물 중 하나인 ‘오설록 티 하우스 티팩토리점’을 Site, Structure, Building, Landscape, Finishes, Observatory의 순서로 살펴봅니다. 프로젝트에 참여한 삶것의 양수인, 서영석, 박정호, 노혜진은 설계와 시공 과정에서 마주한 의사결정의 순간들을 각자의 에피소드로 풀어냅니다. 이미 있는 것을 어떻게 적절히 개선할지, 어떻게 하면 더 빠르고 가볍게 지을 수 있을지, 주어진 단서들로 어떻게 추론을 좁혀갈지, 기존의 것에 무언가를 덧붙일지 그대로 남길지. 오설록 티 하우스가 가볍고 빠르게 지어질 수 있었던 배경에는 이처럼 다양한 판단들이 자리하고 있습니다.
This issue examines OSULLOC Tea House at Tea Factory, one example of LIFETHINGS’ lightweight building work, through the sequence of Site, Structure, Building, Landscape, Finishes, and Observatory. Soo-in Yang, Youngseok Seo, Jeong-ho Park, and Hyejin Noh of LIFETHINGS share episodes from the design and construction process, each focusing on a particular moment of decision-making. How can what already exists be refined into what is necessary? How can structure, material, and method make construction faster and lighter? How can clues narrow a field of possibilities into a decision? Should something be added to what already exists, or should it remain as it is? Behind the speed and lightness with which OSULLOC Tea House was built lies a series of such judgments.
