가구를 디자인하며 공간을 설계하고, 직접 제작과 설치까지 해내는 사람. 박길종(@gagongpark)은 디자인계의 맥가이버입니다. 의뢰인이 원하는 바를 정확히 포착하고, 그것을 적절한 형태로 구현해 내죠. 그의 손을 거친 결과물은 마치 그 공간, 그 사람, 그 순간에 꼭 맞는 답처럼 느껴집니다. 분명 ‘잘 만든 것’ 이상의 무언가가 담겨 있습니다. 2025년 4월, CC 세미나에서는 박길종의 작업 이야기와, 그래픽 디자이너와의 협업을 중심으로 작업한 가구, 오브제, 전시 공간이 어떤 과정을 거쳐 결과물로 만들어졌는지 함께 살펴보았습니다.
Kiljong Park (@gagongpark) works across furniture design, spatial design, fabrication, and installation. With a keen ability to understand what a project needs, he gives form to ideas in ways that feel both natural and precise. His work often feels perfectly suited to its context, carrying something beyond function or craftsmanship alone. In April 2025, at the CC Seminar, we spoke with Kiljong Park about his work. Looking at objects, furniture, and exhibition spaces developed in collaboration with graphic designers, we explored how ideas take shape and become finished projects.
소개
박길종(@gagongpark)은 2010년부터 ‘박길종’, ‘박가공’, ‘길종상가’라는 이름으로 다양한 활동을 하고 있습니다. ‘길종상가(@kiljongarcade)’는 살아오면서 배우고 느끼고 겪어온 모든 것들을 이용하여 다른 사람들에게 필요한 물건이나 인력, 그 외에 도움을 줄 수 있는 부분에 대해 적절한 금액을 받아 지속적으로 운영해 나가는 곳입니다.
Introduction
Kiljong Park (@gagongpark) has worked under the names Park Kiljong, Park Gagong, and Kiljong Arcade since 2010. Kiljong Arcade (@kiljongarcade) is an ongoing practice that draws on what he has learned and experienced throughout his life, offering goods, services, and other forms of assistance in exchange for fair compensation.
