Ganadara 8: Looking Again reconsiders Hangul typography through the lens of contemporary culture, media, and the environment. Every day, we read, see, and write letters to access information, engage with content, and communicate with the world. Letterforms are more than a means of communication—they are woven into the fabric of everyday life, quietly shaping how we experience it. This volume explores both the formal qualities of Hangul and the ways it appears across printed pages and digital screens today. Through three research essays, two interviews, two workshops, and a retrospective of hangulggol’s activities over the past eight years, it reflects on the perspectives and approaches that have guided our engagement with Hangul typography. How do we look at Hangul today—and how else might we begin to see it?
