『ZINESCAPE』는 읽히는 동시에 보이고, 보이는 동시에 읽히는 작은 진(zine)이자 조각이다. 『BOOKULPTURE』가 그래픽 디자인과 조각의 경계에 대한 질문이었다면, 이 책은 그 질문을 손바닥 위로 옮긴 실험이다. ‘Zine’의 비공식적이고 자율적인 출판 형식처럼, 이 작업은 완결된 책보다는 가볍고 유연한 형식으로 읽기와 보기를 오간다. 단어 하나가 한 페이지가 되고, 페이지는 곧 구조가 되며, ZINESCAPE는 책도 조각도 아닌 상태에서 그 사이의 풍경을 드러낸다.
ZINESCAPE is a small zine and a sculpture that is read as much as it is seen, and seen as much as it is read. If BOOKULPTURE posed a question about the boundary between graphic design and sculpture, this work is an experiment that brings that question into the palm of the hand. Like the informal and autonomous format of the zine, it moves between reading and viewing in a light, flexible form rather than as a complete book. A single word becomes a page, and the page in turn becomes a structure; existing as neither book nor sculpture, ZINESCAPE reveals the landscape in between.
